Access Statement

At the Southern Swimming Pool we’re committed to making sure everyone in the community can access our facilities and activities. We are also committed to always strive for improvement, and are constantly seeking ways to better our service.

What we offer:

Designated accessible parking bays
Stair free access to the facility
Wide access handled entrance doors
Front desk with dropped edge
Downstairs - on level viewing area with movable seating
An adapted changing/shower room and W/C
Low height baby changing tables
Pool hoist for those with limited mobility
Pool (wheel) chairs
Concession rates for customers with disabilities and carers swim at no extra charge
Audio Visual Fire Alarms
Vending machines on site for snacks and drinks
Free water fountains
Assistance dogs welcome in public areas, but not in pool areas
Lockers in changing rooms offer secure storage whilst swimming and take Pound coins (old or new)
